This afternoon, I attended the ceremony marking the formal call to Bar of the newest lawyers in Nigeria.

I wish to commend each of them for their efforts and resilience in the face of the tortuous journey to fulfilling their dreams and attaining their rightful seats as a ministers in the Temple of Justice...

...despite the impact of the COVID - 19 pandemic on their activities as students at the Nigerian Law School.

I am particularly happy that their call to the Bar is happening at the threshold of our history. Indeed, they are the first set of new members that I will be receiving into the Nigerian Bar Association since the Association begun its journey to a transformed Bar.

I want to assure them that the NBA is no longer business as usual. We are now more committed than ever to unifying the NBA, and to restoring the Association to its full glory. In achieving this, they, and other members of our Association, will remain a focal point of our Admin.

In the next couple of weeks, we shall be unveiling the plans that we have lined up to make their membership of the Association more beneficial to them and everyone.

The ultimate objective is to bequeath to them and the generality of our members a united and value adding Association that we all will be proud of.  Congratulations again, and I wish you a progressive journey in legal practice.
