#OTD in 1910, oceanographer and filmmaker Jacques Cousteau was born. While serving with the French Navy in the 1940s, Cousteau co-invented the Aqua-Lung. His famous research vessel Calypso was a former U.S. Navy minesweeper loaned to the British Royal Navy under lend-lease.
