It's worth mentioning that in the next few days I will be defending my doctoral thesis at the University of Namibia. I thank God and my supervisors for this achievement. Full acknowledgements can be found in the thesis.

I'm delighted to have successfully defended my PhD in Wildlife Conservation and Management at the University of Namibia (UNAM) today, 09 April 2025. I'm now officially Dr. L.T. Nauyoma.

The hard-won dissertation entitled 'Aspects of ecology of roan and sable in the Mudumu National Park, Namibia'. Perseverance was key to completing my PhD Wildlife Management at University of Namibia in five years. There were so many challenges, but I didn't quit. Thank Almighty.

April 2025 brought me respect among academics in Namibia and elsewhere. I've earned my PhD and the title it confers 💪 Already looking forward to and super excited about my post-doc in Namibia!

Sable and roan antelopes are declining in Mudumu National Park and the surrounding area in Namibia. Researchers used trail cameras to track how these species used the national park and learn more about their habitat preferences. f.mtr.cool/mkaechqdqx
