The Conflict Early Warning and Early Response Unit of South Sudan Peace and Reconciliation Commission with support from the Elections Support Project of UNDP South Sudan conducted 2 days Consultative and Planning workshop with it's state coordinators to prevent electoral violence in the Dec 2024 elections.

Today was a milestone as we welcomed a consultancy firm from Denmark for the final evaluation of SIDA's impactful work in South Sudan. SIDA has been the backbone of the PACC project, crucially supporting the Peace Commission.

South Sudan Peace and Reconciliation Commission Today, attended the validation of the 2024 VNR Report on SDGs at Crown Hotel. The event was led by Ministry of Finance and Planning National Bureau of Statistics - South Sudan & supported by UNRCO and UNDP South Sudan. The workshop ensures all voices are heard in the Review process.

At our monthly forum, supported by UNDP South Sudan and KOICA, SSPRC and partners agreed that to effectively tackle and mitigate hate speech, we need to: Form a taskforce to educate online users, Strengthen laws and accountability and Introduce hate speech education in school.
