This should be headline news everywhere. Photo ID means voter suppression, on a huge scale. 3.5 million people in the UK don't have it, generally the poor and marginalised. This will stop them from voting. independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…

This is a hard time of year for a lot of people. The Samaritans Suicide Hotline is 116 123. A simple copy and paste might save someone's life. Would three Twitter friends please copy this text and post under their own name?

Farewell top soil, bye bye food producing capacity, ta ta carbon. Literally going down the drain. Time for sustainable land management that restores and maintains nature and natural resources for #FutureGenerations

In trying to reduce the impact of our diets, we tend massively to over-emphasise #FoodMiles, and under-emphasise the type of food we eat. Even if you shipped bananas 6 times round the planet, their impact would be lower than local beef and lamb. ourworldindata.org/food-choice-vs…

The #ClimateAssemblyUK could play vital role in how we tackle #ClimateEmergency & it’s got off to great start But weakened by the focus on Govt policy of 2050 – urgency & equity means UK must go further My observations from its opening day Climate Assembly UK inews.co.uk/opinion/i-obse…

If meat is going to be part of future diets it has to be this sort of meat. Produced to high welfare standards and good for nature. And price should reflect this wider value. Good luck Farm Wilder

I've been travelling through this barren land for +20mins. I didn't see one bird. But earlier when there were hedgerows & wetlands mixed with fields I saw a red kite, flocks of finches and ancient oaks. We can make food and make space for nature. #AgricultureBill is so important

Horrified Home Office to deport vulnerable asylum seekers tomorrow, on top of new points based immigration that denies people hope to improve their lives here. @patel4witham Remember they are real humans, protect them, and make the UK a welcoming place. theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/f…

My sunny #breakfastbirdwatch from my rooftop in #Norwich - today I saw a blackbird, blue tits, house sparrows and a rook. Perfect way to start the morning. RSPB

We can create enough jobs to replace those lost to Covid and fight climate breakdown at the same time. It’s a win-win. Rishi Sunak are you listening? theguardian.com/environment/20…

Just want to send lots of love to #SupportRailWorkers striking today, and all who are still working. I am on the train to work now. So grateful to all of you playing your part despite the hardship. Sending solidarity for higher pay, not shareholder profits.🙏 RMT Thameslink

This is a year of inspiring climate action in sixty seconds. From taking thousands of car-free journeys, to putting thousands of trees in the ground, we couldn't do any of this without you. Thank you 💚 Can you chip in to make 2023 even bigger? 🙏 wearepossible.org/donate
