Yesterday at 2pm the first honeybee (Apis mellifera) in this species’ evolutionary history managed to pull a string for reward. They are much harder to train than bumblebees, though!

We evaluated perceptual, emotional, and behavioral differences between visceral and somatic stimulation!

On a personal note, this is the first paper from my FWO fellowship & my first ever “basic-mechanistic” study. It will forever hold a special place in my ❤️

New preprint: osf.io/preprints/osf/…

'Self-improvising Memories: a perspective on memories as agential, dynamically-reinterpreting cognitive glue'

This draft will surely be changed a lot (shortened & sanitized) when it becomes a reviewed paper, so here's the original.

Natalie Christie Peluso 🧠 This is such an important question! Honestly, I think at this point, the biggest limiting factor in mental imagery research is not any of the neuroscience tools but our limitations on getting accurate measurements of the subjective experience. Please help!
