this whole thread is great, but this is really they key point: we must focus on maximizing the *number* of affordable homes, rather than the *percentage* if a politician says "i only support 100% affordable housing", it usually means they actually support no housing

Each Austin ISD campus has its own super spreader event today as staff are forced to attend in-person trainings. They are gathering indoors for meetings and meals. If experts are predicting major staffing shortages, why not change policies to limit staff exposure?

The CDC wants the kids to quarantine… but Austin ISD wants them in class (and unmasked in cafeteria!) during most infectious period. Why?
