Firefighters from Mexico continue to lend a hand to suppression efforts on the #SQFComplex, Sequoia Nat'l Forest. The five crews and overhead personnel are from Guadalajara, Mexico. We are happy our international partners can provide #FirefightingResources during #FireYear2020.

The Ordway-Swisher Biological Station conducts prescribed fire training as part NaturalAreasTrainAca. But conditions have to be just right, meaning only 10-15 prescribed burns are conducted in a year. A system of approvals along with regular check-ins throughout ensures everyone’s safety.
