Tracked my sauna-cold plunge heart rate and overlaid with temperature. No wonder this has similar cardiovascular benefits to low intensity aerobic exercise 😂. Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D. are there protocols for sauna sessions based on heart rate instead of time?

A cowboy from Wyoming invited me to swing dance at a desolate 4 corners last night. A place where cowboy hats and boots are work attire, my minivan stood out amongst a sea of flatbeds & the country swing is🔥. So much joy, happiness & connection I never expected to find

“I liked the feeling of love,” he confessed. “I wish we still had that…of course I understand it wouldn’t work very well, & it’s much better to be organized the way we are now. I can see it was a dangerous way to live.” Rereading The Giver, which I last read in 5th grade 🤯

TIL from Kate Darling that ~80% of people name their house cleaning robots because we ascribe human emotions and feelings to them, and I challenge anyone to come up with a better nickname for a Self Aware ROOMBA than ’Meryl Sweep’

This is Jerome. He’s a 70+ retired ER surgeon who builds musical instruments he gifts to local public schools. ‘I’m going to be dead & gone & kids are going to make music with the instruments I built. What can possibly be a more fulfilling way to spend the time I have left?’ 😭

I taste-tested some chemosynthesized butter (fat) on toast last week. Blown away. This is the future. This paper explains the concepts for synthesizing all sorts of molecules. We’ll be seeing a lot of productionizing of this research in the next decade: nature.com/articles/s4189…

Elk I harvested from the mountains of Montana and now a meal I get to share with friends. Grateful to have the opportunity to romp in the woods and the fitness to hunt in the backcountry 🏹

Took an onion 🧅 on a tour of as many onion dome churches as I could find on my recent Moscow visit. Way more entertaining than taking standard tourist pics

More examples from our new 4D scene reconstruction model PRISM-1. Accurately simulating edge cases requires intricate details, such as the bus's left indicator light in the first video, or the truck's side door opening in the second video. Simulation 100% learned end-to-end.

This is WILD. Beam-powered propulsion, as a method for powering aircraft by beaming energy to them from a remote power array. DARPA NASA + private industry posting lots of updates and progress. What a crazy world we live in spectrum.ieee.org/electromagneti…

Got to meet one of my heroes recently. One thing I miss about academia is running into people who work on completely different problems than you and expand your universe

Teacher-student e2e AV model architectures are the future. Any adas/av developer not pivoting to this and still doing it the classical way will be left in the dust
