Our chefs are like a who’s who of fine food and seafood – many of them hatted, celebrities and specialists in their field. Previous chefs have included Corey Costelloe, Maggie Beer, Julie Goodwin, Black Olive and many more. This year we’ll have more that you'll recognise.

More than just a delicacy, as did you know oysters play a vital part in our ecosystem? Their filter-feeding improves water quality and nutrient cycling. They also provide safe haven for young fish and small invertebrates, reduce coastal erosion, and even soak up carbon.

Watch pro chefs in action! It’s rare to be able to observe such high calibre chefs up close, let alone in the personal and casual setting the Oyster Festival provides.

The Guinness World Record Biggest Oyster attempt was an international sensation! Sadly, Jack, the Usain Bolt of oysters didn’t measure up. He was the heaviest oyster in the world but not quite long enough to take the official title.

Friday’s for everyone! We get the party started right for everybody, at our FREE Friday night opening celebrations. There’s music from 6pm - 10pm creating a wonderful vibe as you watch the sun go down. Enjoy the food stalls or a BYO dinner with your friends and family.

Our Friday night opener is becoming legendary in Narooma. Free for everyone, it features live music until late with a terrific line-up that will get you moving! In years gone by, we’ve featured 19Twenty, Nick Saxon, big bands and more - stay tuned for this year’s performers!

Enjoy live music & entertainment all day at the festival. The festival promises something for everyone, from acoustic soloists to drumming acts, folk & gypsy jazz, topped off with slidin’ and stompin’ blues as the sun goes down.

Our food stalls are far from standard fare - they’re handpicked from the region and are all absolutely yummo! We strive for a diverse culinary experience of a very high standard, with over 30 quality food stalls in 2019.

Spend the day grazing and sampling while enjoying all of the entertainment. Local wineries and craft breweries are also on the ready, serving chilled wines, beers and ciders that compliment your festival food experience.

Narooma has a rich, historic culture that we celebrate. Spend some time at the Narama Nangarra fire pit and witness traditional, indigenous cooking methods of local seafoods.

Help us celebrate Yuin culture alongside the local aboriginal community. Witness the preparation of oysters, abalone, bimbalas and mullet, all on the fire-pit which has the spirit of welcoming everyone for a feed!
