Speaker’s ruling on Sigatoka petition pronounces loftily (and largely off point) on separation of powers between legislature and executive. Ironically the Speaker gets his advice from the A-G’s office (the executive). In our #truedemocracy Parliament’s not allowed its own lawyers

There is a single confirmed case of COVID19 in Lautoka that was imported from a patient who had recently traveled abroad. He was immediately isolated, where he remains under careful medical supervision.

Fiji has confirmed our second case of #COVID19, the mother of the first patient. She had been immediately isolated as part of our contact tracing efforts, and her symptoms did not show until after she was already within isolation. She remains isolated and is in stable condition.

Some not getting it. 12 days since our first #coronavirus case, 5 confirmed cases, no new cases for 5 days. NZ’s curve below. First 16 days - only 6 cases. Then NZ opened up its testing. By Day 30 - 589 cases. Fiji’s run +\-350 tests. Let’s all do the maths, learn the lessons

They never tell you that, ‘Oh, by the way, there were people there’. They make it seem like it was just like sitting there, like the fucking door’s open.” m.facebook.com/story.php?stor…
