1000 CubeSats have been launched! 🚀 It only took 15 years since 2003. Not all of them made it to orbit and a handful are unknown, but certainly over 1000 have been on a rocket.

Latest nanosats.eu refresh complete. Started collecting photos captured by #CubeSats. I'm sure there are many more (w/o constellations), Attached is a beautiful ESTCube-1 showcase. All visible here nanosats.eu/tables#space-p…, follow sources for even more.

2019 was surprisingly low year with around 186 nanosats and #CubeSats launched. Far below most forecasts. However, expecting a new record in 2020 as the first batches of many new constellations are planned.

A record 396 nanosatellites were launched in 2023! That is 365 CubeSats, 20 PocketQubes, 5 other nanosats and 6 other picosatellites. A few may be missing or unclear. @Planet again leads with 72, followed by Swarm with 24 and Spire Labs with 22 CubeSats. Almost 75% flew on Falcon-9.

2017 reached a new record of 295 launched nanosatellites including 287 CubeSats thanks to a great extent to @planetlabs (140), Spire (46) and QB50-CubeSat Mission (36). That is more than 2 previous years combined.
