I've always said doing a grounded take on Green Lantern was such an odd decision. There's nothing grounded about the Green Lantern mythos. Unfortunately doing so means changing a lot of essential elements to fit that vision, like having a physical suit with desaturated colours.

If you wanted to do a grounded superhero project maybe you shouldn't have picked the franchise where thousands of aliens handpicked by million year old Smurfs guard the universe with magic rings that are fueled by the power of feelings. Just a thought.
