Watching the #CAS with mixed feelings. With Dick Schoof Rutte & Cora van Nieuwenhuizen as color commentators, a parade of world leaders sing the adaptation chorus ("Let's make it 50/50 on mitigation & adaptation!"). Rutte: adaptation=positive returns, economic growth, good value 4 money.

Not everyone sings in tune. Amidst cries of "Welcome back, USA," Kerry stridently asserts that the best adaptation is mitigation & remaining below 1.5C. In the worst case scenario we're barreling toward, only the wealthiest can adapt.
