Exciting news today - I passed my general exam! I was definitely nervous about my preparation going in and have struggled w/feelings of imposter syndrome throughout grad school so it’s a huge relief to hit this milestone and feel empowered move forward on my dissertation

I’m so excited to be in the Maldives this week participating in a workshop organized by the World Bank to explore digital technology solutions for local climate resilience. I’ll be presenting on the use of passive acoustics for coral reef monitoring.

Really enjoyed getting to sit down and chat with Maddie about this and get into some of the nuances of how we might use sound enrichment to help coral reefs (spoiler alert: it's not a silver bullet, but we see great potential with this technique)
