SOTA activation today on W1/HA-165 Skatutakee Mountain. It turned out to be a fantastic day to hike after the rain stopped! ⛰️

Had a nice packet QSO into Iowa today with W0JW John (W0JW) via the digipeater on the ISS 🛰️. To my knowledge John has been working the ISS digipeater for many years, at least since 2016 when I started to discover satellite comms. Glad to get you confirmed in the log today John!

This is a Facebook post of mine from 8 years ago today. It features a weather satellite image from NOAA 18 🛰️ This satellite was just shut down a few days ago, but yet it seems to live on.
