Led session on bugs & beasties for 1st Denholm Rainbows today. Took along 11 different invertebrates. They were able to handle some, including Giant Olive Millipedes, & were really impressed with Gonzales the Dune Scorpion when he glowed in the dark under UV light. Girlguiding

First Hedgehog sighting of 2024 caught on one of my wildlife cam in the garden! Has not shown up in feeding station yet but am keeping it stocked with food which local Wood Mouse, or possibly Wood Mice, are very happy about! BBC Springwatch

Oslo, the Curly Hair Tarantula, really has settled in well and is getting used to being handled by me too. I’ve been handling regularly so that Oslo can come with me to some events that GW Ecology will be attending over the summer.
