Note - one striking thing about most of the testimony is that it’s from contemporaneous texts and emails between these people. Nobody is testifying from memory here and the jury is seeing this stuff from when it was happening in writing.

Smart move by Merchan. This is the first criminal contempt finding. It's a warning to Trump that the games won't be tolerated.

If he does it again, and Merchan does have to cross the rubicon and jail him, it strengthens Merchan's argument on appeal.
