Chalciporus sp. found at Wawasan, KL - Feb. 2023 The name is derived from the Ancient Greek khalkos, meaning “copper,” and translates as “copper pores.” A few species are known to be edible, with C. piperatoides having a peppery taste. The edibility of others is still unknown.
