“At this time civil society partnerships must become more flexible and empowering. Local activists must be seen and heard as expert advisers and not as beneficiaries“ 👏🏼👏🏼 #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Very timely and important, but we're afraid the session will be held during the time the military will be imposing internet curfew on us. #keepiton #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

The military junta in #Myanmar says it wants to hold new elections, but by banning media outlets it is dismantling one of the pillars of democracy. We will continue to support media freedom and stand up for the rights of journalists. #defendmediafreedom #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Disheartening to see #Internet #censorship on these scales in #Myanmar, but it's vital that we know its extent. I'm grateful to have the chance to work on this report with Maria Xynou, Arturo Filastò, MIDO, and Alberto Dainotti @albertodainotti .bsky.social, and shed some light on #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

We, representatives of #Myanmar CSOs, are seriously concerned by silence of United Nations in Myanmar &urge its leaders to speak out &take action. Shocking only 5 out of 20 UN agencies operating inside Myanmar have publicly commented on military coup #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

It is so puzzling to me why certain commentators who’ve consistently been wrong on the exact thing they’re commenting on continue to get air time when there are so many excellent Burmese analysts who can provide more credible insight, in English, on #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar?

#InternetShutDown in 21st century is a clear violation of our right to information, right to health care, education & right to life. Internet is our basic right. It is, by any means, UNACCEPTABLE that we can't use internet via our mobile since #Mar15Coup in #Myanmar. #KeepItOn

National Unity Government Myanmar appointed a minister of ICT yesterday alongside with a few others and I’m confused. This is a very infrastructure based ministry where very little can be done on the NUG level. Filling up spots without actually having strategy is just a waste of time and resources.
