Does premodern Islam imagine a distinction between the religious and the secular? My take on this in the Oxford Journal of Islamic Studies :

Die moderne Differenzierung ist auch in u für islamische(n) Umwelten keine externe Ordnung,sondern genealogisch ohne Probleme an die islamische Traditionsgeschichte anschliessbar;dass dies nicht geschieht,hängt mit der westl. Hegemonie über die Deutung des Säkularismus zusammen.
