Lots of learning is happening in the CHES music room! The past couple of weeks we have worked on learning the 50 states, bucket drumming, piano proficiency, rhythms, instrument expectations, Hispanic Heritage Month music history, and much more! Corinth-Holders Elementary School JCPS Fine Arts
This week in music, we worked towards piano proficiency. Many students received certificates for playing songs on the piano and several earned a level up certificate for successfully completing all songs in a level. Great job, pirate musicians! Corinth-Holders Elementary School

Peter Tchaikovsky is our spotlight composer and “ballet” is our vocabulary word for December. We learned first position, plié, and tendu. Students utilized their new ballet skills to move to musical characteristics in “The Nutcracker Ballet.” Corinth-Holders Elementary School JCPS Fine Arts
Number Drummer visited Corinth-Holders Elementary School this month and reviewed how math is used to make music. Our 2nd graders went on a field trip to The Clayton Center to experience literature brought to life. We’re enjoying finding connections between music and other subjects! JCPS Fine Arts
