Delighted to see a good turn out at today’s first SRA_Year8_2020 choir rehearsal (following the distancing guidelines for singing!) Also lovely to have Y8 choir and Y10 Band rehearsing again this week as well.

..more of our groups will be starting back over the coming weeks , including in primary, but please bear with us while we try to arrange what we can under the new guidelines, and without our usual music space!

Great turn out for Y7 Choir today! SRA_Year8_2020 It’s lucky we can use the hall to allow us to space out safely in this strange times, and wonderful to be making music together.

Continuing to gradually restart some of our music ensembles safely , we were delighted to see a great turn out at our first Orchestra rehearsal after school today, special welcome to some new members from Year 7 as well!

It’s been a very different term, we were sad not to be able to welcome audience into school for Christmas performances. Parents should by now have received links to our virtual Primary Music Showcase and our Department Christmas Concert, and we hope you enjoy. Merry Christmas!

This week we were hoping to be having our first “Music Week” at SRA with plans for lunchtime concerts, a Y7 showcase and talent show amongst other things. We will have to put our plans on hold for a year, and we really cant wait until we can perform live again to everyone! 1/3
