Happy #LunarNewYear2022 🥳 This happens to be the year of the Water Tiger. The next time we see the year of the tiger will be in 2034. Can you guess what natural element will be associated with the tiger then?

Talk about being in the right place at the right time! This #MOI membership family happened to visit right as #GenghisKhan exhibit creator Don Lessem was in the same place. How cool would that be to get a tour from the exhibit creator himself?!

#ScavengerHunt time! Test your #MuseumofIdaho #GenghisKhan knowledge to see if you can find the artifact described below: This is the only artifact in the exhibit containing a depiction of Mongolia’s landscape. What is it? Hint: You can only see it at eye level.

Genghis Khan is getting a lesson in taking a good selfie 📷 It looks as if our young guest has her work cut out for her! Did you know? Genghis Khan never let anyone draw his portrait, so the sketches and paintings you see of him were all done after he died.

#FlashbackFriday 📷 We do some pretty cool things in our archive room. Our curators are taking this glass plate negative of a cowgirl from Challis (c.1900), and turning her into an animated photo (with a couple steps in between). #Watch her come to life: loom.ly/3bJh1TY

"It's cool to see what my grandpa built in person!" It was actually Taylor Bradley's GREAT-grandfather, Mike Bradley, who built the former schoolhouse-turned-train station inside the #MOI years before he's standing inside a piece of #MOI history as a legacy, generations later.
