If Twitter does end up disappearing/changing dramatically, just wanna say that this was the absolute best place to stumble upon musical sketches and ideas from cultures/people/unusual genres I may not have encountered otherwise, and I'll miss that.

A while back, I started an aggregated list of OSTs with provable US Releases for those in the VGM/Anime cover licensing business, and I have added a bunch since my last posting (up to 700+ now!)

I feel like a lot of folks are dealing with burnout lately, and I just want to say that self care is always worth the time and effort. In other words, you don’t need to feel guilty for taking a break or feel discouraged because you’re having trouble with motivation.

Whenever I visit London I’m fascinated by the distinctive sound of the Jubilee Line trains accelerating.
Last time I visited, I thought of the idea to turn it into a pad, and it has now become a staple sound in one of my current game projects.

I really wish film scoring programs taught musical storytelling. Writing individual pieces or scoring isolated scene clips ain’t it. It’s about telling a story across 90+ minutes and developing / stretching ideas across that time. That’s most of the job.

I’m gonna start using Twitter to connect more with musicians and composers. Will continue with my usual comedy too, don’t worry :-) I’m centrally a jazz guitar player, but currently I’m focusing on learning how to compose and produce VGM. Here’s a clip from an early tune (April)
