I was honoured to write the Foreword in this excellent publication by Janine Buckley about pit ponies in the Nottinghamshire coalfield. Pit ponies were one of the subjects as part of the 2013 heritage project, 'A History of Coalmining in 10 objects'. miningheritage.co.uk/pit-pony/
