#30DayChallenge Day 7: Today’s picture is of a dead and empty wasp nest. Even though it’s colour is bland, the texture and structure is fascinating! Wasps effectively make their nests from paper. They collect and chew up strips of bark, spitting it out to form a rough paper! 🐝🌸

We are up in London, visiting some family and today we went for a walk around the Chilterns, and we spotted a new butterfly that we did not recognise. After some intensive research (thanks Butterfly Conservation 🦋 ) we found it was a Silver-Washed Fritillary!
