Just had the first limited playtest of a set that won’t come out for years yesterday. It felt like the first table-read of a play. The cast is in place, lots of it was rough, cringy, a few moments of brilliance, but I did leave feeling like it’s going to make for a great play.

Just realized I hadn’t posted the full Grey Havens scene for Magic’s Middle-Earth set. Went a little crazy with the color. Ironically I worked on Decipher’s Lord of the Rings card game and TTRPG in the early 2000’s so this felt a bit full circle.

I dont always agree with Flores but I strongly agree here. To be fair I first heard this take from Skaff Elias, but it's something I wholeheartedly agree with. It greatly expands the space of states - sometimes you play from ahead and sometimes you have to play from behind.

Just lost what felt like an unlosable game of MKM draft to Jace, Wielder of Mysteries into disguise/flip Coveted Falcon, giving me it and every other permanent (all lands) and decking. Stunned. #wotcstaff

Happy 3/5. Here are a few sweet 3/5s that I can lay some claim to having designed.

No kap, Mothman RAD counters is Fun Mill. Straight up I have never had a better time with mill than I have with RAD counters.

It’s feels fair and interactive for me as both the Mothman and the Opponent.

I know the two 'crime' cards we shared from OTJ (Oko, Duelist of the Mind) don't have reminder text for what a crime is, but the vast majority of cards in the set do have it. After the prerelease or a couple drafts, it'll all feel very natural! #WOTCstaff
