Sketch Vs Final

I grew up mesmerized by the work of Jim Lee and Whilce Portacio - studying the pages of Uncanny Xmen was how I learned to draw in my early teens. So when Dawn Murin offered me a chance to work on “comic book style alt-art” for Lukka, I jumped at the chance :)…

Fire Prophecy

I thought this was appropriate with the all the excitement over the solar eclipse. I used the sun’s surface as inspiration for the effect on the sclera of the eye and an eclipse for the pupil.
