Over the past week, the Youth Council has been working hard to get back to our normal ways. As part of this, we've created new roles with duties to certain groups or topics. I was elected Worker's Officer so I am charged with looking after young people in work in East Dun.

Another wee update. The Youth Council has selected Charlotte Boyle and I to be the Health and Social Care Officers. As part of this, we are responsible for reviewing policy relating to our remit. We are also responsible for making sure that the system works for our young people.

I feel so lucky to have been elected Chair of the Youth Council. Together with our awesome new Vice Chair Charlotte Boyle, I will bring new energy to the Youth Council. We will work tirelessly for the young people we're elected to represent.

As International Woman’s Day has come to an end, I think it’s important that we recognise the brilliant work of women in politics. Women like Nicola Sturgeon & Monica Lennon MSP have cleared a path through a broken glass ceiling for future generations to follow through.

Tonight is the night of the Strathkelvin and Bearsden SYP by-election, and I've never been more excited. Some time after 6pm tonight, a new MSYP will be elected to serve the constituency till the end of the SYP term in November. I shall post to let you all know the results.

I know it's been a whole week since I was supposed to announce the SYP by-election results but we had to sort some stuff before that could be done. I am so proud to announce that I have been elected as the MSYP for Strathkelvin and Bearsden 1/2

I am more than excited to get to work with Charlotte Boyle to ensure the proper representation of the young people of our constituency. Bring on the workload.

Ok guys, this sitting I’m thinking about putting forward a motion surrounding our legal aid crisis. Legal aid is a vital fund that allows people from all backgrounds to access our justice system, without fear of fees. Do you think that funding should be increased for legal aid?

After a year of rather difficult, ongoing health issues, I have decided that it is best for me not to stand for re-election in the upcoming Scottish Youth Parliament elections. I wish anyone who is standing the best of luck and thank you to everyone I met along the way!
