My Day With Gong Gong offered so many rich discussion points: relationships with grandparents, sharing language, special foods, what it feels like when adults laugh at us... The students loved looking at photos of Chinatown and loved doing the directed drawing with Elaine Chen ☘️

The “Tiny Art Show” was perfect for 6-8 year olds over spring break. It became an ongoing project throughout the week. There’s something special about getting a tiny precious piece of cardstock or a pinch of self-drying clay.
