The launch of the Hen Harrier Threat Response Plan today marks a significant milestone in our efforts to prevent the extinction of our precious ‘skydancer’. Earlier this year, National Parks and Wildlife Service published latest estimates for Ireland's Hen Harrier population and the figures were stark.

The third annual Heritage Ireland 2030 summit focused on the theme of access. We heard from a wonderful lineup of speakers. In my opening address I urged whoever forms the next government that heritage funding is prioritised.
