Exciting meeting for Desert Dance 2023! Hopefully we can get our primary and secondary pupils involved. Really looking forward to stepping back into my dancing shoes but this time with a little twist with teaching Y4-6 instead of senior school! Exited for what is to come.

I have had such a positive last 3 days in school and I finally feel like I’m finding my feet. Relationships with pupils are developing, pupils have been engaged with learning and my classroom is taking shape! Here’s to the weekend but also to week 5.

Just like that my first half term teaching in Dubai is completed. It has been an intense term with lots of overwhelming emotions but I’ve learnt a lot about my new school, pupils and myself as a teacher. So excited for the holidays but looking forward to what comes next.

Another first completed in Dubai… first parents evening✅ It was so lovely meeting all our year 7 parents who were all so supportive. Even better as it was my first face to face parents evening in two and a half years!

Last parents evening of 2022 completed✅ It has been so nice getting to meet all the parents in the school community and looking forward to continuing to work together over the rest of the academic year!

Another first completed today, first school trip✅ Rewards trip to Roll DXB, the kids had so much and so did the adults❤️(only fell once however I may have taken a child down with me🤣)

My year 10s have my heart with this Christmas gift!! Not once have I mentioned that I like ice tea but they must have seen me drink it at breaks/ lunches or cans on my desk because I arrived this morning to this on my desk! So observant and kind❤️❤️

A little bit late but term one is complete✅It has been a huge learning curve and a rollercoaster of emotions as I adjusted to a new country and school however I have had a great term and I work with amazing staff and pupils.I am ready for the break but looking forward to term 2.
