As music educators, we must take time now to honestly reflect. What are we doing right now, in this moment, to center and support our Black and Brown students? Are we listening and creating space for them to process, channel, and express their wants, needs, hopes and dreams?

There is a lot of energy and pressure in the air right now. We feel it. Our students feel it. We must listen and create space for them to lead. How are we centering our students needs not only in teaching/learning goals, but in support of their humanity? Where can we do better?
