Last year around this time, we were all eager to re-imagine school. We were given a huge opportunity to dismantle systems and create something better. Here we are, a year later, and we are instead desperately doubling-down on all our old practices. We learned nothing.

For all the people who complained about school closings because of COVID-19, over 60 schools are currently closed in MI because of threats of school shootings. Your silence is deafening.

Some of y’all are showing your lack of leadership skills. Ts are using this space as an outlet to feel like we have a voice. We know y’all have the real power. That’s why we need this space. If you were a true leader, you’d realize this & keep ya Twitter fingers out of our feeds.
