Anyone else have "Smoke" as their forecast?

After feeling stuck & lost & betrayed by my characters for not following my outline, I wrote a paragraph 2 nights ago (1st in a month). Then while listening to Adelitas Way's Still Hungry this am, I think I've finally figured out what's going to make Sam snap & move her forward.

This evening I spent hours prepping & making dinner (sweet pulled pork tacos & homemade salsa). My kid hated it. I'm really looking forward to quarantine ending & being able to have people over who enjoy my cooking again!

At the airport with my kiddo; she's going to be gone for almost 2 weeks - as if our house isn't empty & quiet enough. But I got my laugh for the day when they had to manually inspect her purse at security... the Sun Chips & Peanut Butter M&Ms were suspicious on the x-ray. 😂

That moment when your teen, who gets embarrassed by the mere fact you're a metalhead, adds some Halestorm to her usual pop playlist while in the shower... and has no idea you can hear her belting out I Love the Misery.

Huge thanks to americanair for checking my carry-on for free on my first flight... of four. Grateful for one less item to carry during the next 14 hours. Side note - I can't wait until I live in a big city again... I miss direct flights.

Found this phone in the E gates area women's restroom between Starbucks and gate E5 in terminal 3 of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It's locked & in airplane mode. I turned it in to first TSA office on level 2 as you come off the elevator; they said they'd take it to lost & found.

TIL that I have been living under a rock. I can't fathom any other explanation for not realizing how awesome Gemini Syndrome is before today. Better late than never I suppose, but damn I've been missing out!

Had Red Sun Rising's The Otherside on repeat for a week (I don't do the repeat thing) assuming it was because I had the googly eyes for Mike Protich but today it finally clicked: it's 110% perfect inspiration for a lead character in my new story. Can't wait to finally write again.

Um... Macy's, you should list the things you CAN buy with coupons you send me instead of what you can't. Wasted my time at your store only to find out they don't work on a damn thing I wanted! Plus I was told to look up the exclusions on the website as they're not on the coupons.

Trying to get my head in the right place to FINALLY finish penning the last chapters of book 3. My kingdom to have Mike Protich / The Violent cover Burden in My Hand by Soundgarden or Don't Follow by Alice in Chains. PS My bday's in Dec & I'm not opposed to early presents.

Seriously americanair? You ruin the suitcase I bought just for my flight & then deny my claim saying you're not responsible for scuffs/wear/tear & if I want to appeal I have to drive 1 hr to the airport for review. The wheel is caved in and the bag no longer rolls properly!
