What an eye opening experience to visit an NGO school in Siem Reap. The classrooms only have desks, whiteboards, fans and some wall displays. The children were extremely appreciative and happy that they could attend school to learn to read!

Activity Week - The students created their own pointillist pictures. They spent about 3 hours to complete their sea creatures. They have definitely shown great resilience towards their art work. #HIS_learning

Didn't manage to capture much precious moments this week. It's been an awesome year working with my dream team (we're definitely more than just colleagues) as well as feeling proud of my students at the Awards ceremony. I'm glad I didn't have to say goodbye coz it would be hard!

Introduced mime to the Year 4 students in drama. This week, we focused on facial expressions and of course lots of laughter among the peers #his_learning

Primary drama- The Year 3 students explored mirroring where two students face one another. One pretends to be a person looking into a mirror while the other pretends to be reflection of that person, exactly duplicating the person's movements. #his_learning

Year 1 drama- Last week, my year 1 drama students reinacted the story "The Tiny Seed" and pretended to be seeds flying to various places. We learned how to make our body shapes big and small. They reflected and drew pictures of what body shapes they created. #his_learning

Year 2 drama- Last week we read "Peace At Last" and used our imagination to create still body shapes of various object and imitate sounds from the story. The students reflected on their lesson and drew pictures of what shapes they did. #his_learning

Creating illusions in mime~ This week in Year 4 drama, the students practised the mime wall. #his_learning

Introduced tableau to the Year 3 students. Their frozen poses were awesome! They were given fictional circumstances that they find themselves in. See if you guess which one is sighting an alien spaceship, earthquake on the mountain and a tiger escaped from the zoo #his_learning

Celebrating International Day with the Year 4s. They thoroughly enjoyed learning about the benefits of fitness and board games. Fantastic to see them playing collaboratively and being inclusive #his_learning

Besides planning lessons and resources for my students, I have my own children too. Cabin fever is real! As a mum, I told them to be creative. My girl designed a poster with a very loud and clear message! #washyourhands

Working from home has its fun and challenges. Besides preparing drama lessons and marking students' work online, I had to supervise my own children's e-learning as well as keeping everyone alive by cooking nutritious vegan meals. Yes, teachers do deserve a million dollars🤣🤣
