A new 'going home bell' has been added to Southend Hospital’s Neonatal Unit to mark a huge moment – the day a baby is ready to go home! Mum, Michelle said "Ringing the ‘going home bell’ was a lovely memory and achievement to end our journey on.”

We’re still working on a more modern and welcoming Southend Hospital Emergency Department (ED) for patients and families. There’ll be more room, a dedicated children’s area and faster emergency care.
