🌞 INTRODUCING OUTDOOR CLASSROOM/FLEXIBLE SEATING! Camp Creation had the long-term project of restoring an old/unusable picnic table (scroll for the before pics). This table creates an outdoor space for all teachers and all students! We can't wait to use it this SY! ❤️

First Line Face-Off winners! 📚 To inspire reading, my 7th graders competed with the first line of their independent reading books! We competed book to book until we found our winners. 💕📖

Cool things are happening in 6th grade at HMS! My students created "artifacts" to showcase their understanding of their independent reading books. I'm always so amazed by students' imagination and creativity! 📖❤️ . "Books may well be the only true magic" .l 6-12 WH ELA Department Jeff Szymaniak

Ceremony of 12 was a success! It warms my ELA teacher heart to see my students excited about the books we read! 🍎 📖

Off to a great start with CES. This week, we started our study of identity by discussing important/defining moments in our lives. Then, through purposeful drafting and word choice, we condensed our moments to six word memoirs. This is the result! Jeff Szymaniak William Glynn

One of my students made a BEAUTIFUL diorama of Parvana's living space from "The Breadwinner." My student made this for fun as she was inspired by our class novel. I will never tire of my students' creativity, and how books spark imagination. 📚 ❤️

Student Council hosted a March Madness BBall tournament for grades 5-8! Here are our two winning teams! The kids had so much fun! 🏀
