Started off the year with a fun STEM challenge in Science - How many books can your newspaper table support?? The record was 35 books! Fairview District 72

What device can you build to hold an apple on your head while you’re doing a relay race?? Kids came up with SO many unique ideas!! Fairview District 72

Building the tallest tower to practice our measuring and graphing skills. Only 5 minutes to do it and very limited supplies. Winner was 42 cm! Fairview District 72

Students designed their own cereal boxes during our unit on packaging. Does Packaging Matter? They’re learning that “yes, it does!” Fairview District 72

5th graders are learning about simple machines, check out their elevators they designed with their wheel and axle hand cranks! Fairview District 72

5th graders finished up their incline plane marble runs and were so excited to donate these to some of their old kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms ❤️ Fairview District 72
