This week in DE, we read “Our Class is a Family” together and talked about how we can each contribute to a happy and safe classroom. Students created class posters with their promise to their classroom family, and students with sensory needs engaged with a themed sensory box!🧡🖤

In DE at CRSS, we have been talking about what we are grateful for, and made a “delicious” craft to celebrate Thanksgiving!🎃

Just in time for Mental Health week, we discussed mental health and wellness in HSP today. Students finished class by circulating through mental wellness stations, and many left class with a new mental health strategy to implement! #TVDSBShinyMomentsOurStory

Today in DE, we talked about emotions and how all emotions are important for helping us communicate our needs. We also discussed ways to cope with different emotions. Students completed a fun PlayDoh placemat activity exploring different emotions. #TVDSBShinyMomentsOurStory

This week, my ELD students were working with the theme “food”, and learned different English phrases used in ordering from a restaurant. On Friday, students practiced their skills by ordering a donut from me🍩

After learning about digestion yesterday in HFA, students created their own models of the digestive system today! Really impressed with these, great work wildcats!
