White Teachers make up 80% of the profession and have a moral obligation to teach students, especially White students, about the oppression and injustices that other groups endured and are still enduring. Especially when they are left out of the curriculum.

I love it when teachers are like, "I have high expectations for my students, so that's why I don't let them do late work or retake an assessment," and I get to go, "Oh, so you have high expectations for their behavior but not their learning." Because that's what it is.

I've never been so close to tears during a Google meet. 2 of my kiddos miss reading together. They found a book they both have and took turns reading the pages just like in small group and I just sat back and watched them be amazing. My heart is happy!!!
