Our athletes, whom we have not supported enough, are apologizing for not winning the medals we expected. Meanwhile, our politicians continue to deny their mistakes and their abuse of the country’s wealth. This is not normal in better societies, right?

A true Filipino sports fan will support ALL our athletes in ALL sports, and not wish less funding for a particular sport in favor of another. The true fan also doesn't just show up during the Olympics and disappears afterwards.

If there’s anyone who should apologize, it’s not our athletes, but our government for not providing all the necessary support in their training. Our athletes won DESPITE all these challenges they’ve had to overcome. Mabuhay kayo!

Nesthy was landing the cleaner punches in most of the exchanges and I'll stand by it. The crowd work, antics, and movement might have swayed the judges for Szeremeta. But man, amateur boxing is tough, hard to win and show everything in 3 rounds. We still salute you, Nesthy girl!!
