All I'm saying is, I wish that people (politicians, the media, the general public) were as worked up about underfunded schools, classes being cancelled due to lack of a teacher, school repairs, mental health supports, and clean air, as they are about cellphones. 🤷🏿‍♂️ #OntEd

This is a brilliant PR strategy to detract from the fact that violent incident reports have gone up significantly in Ontario schools with the cuts to specialized supports and programming for vulnerable kids.

100%. Educators should not feel guilty for taking a day, whether it’s for their mental/physical health or for a family member/loved one. As a 👩🏻‍🏫 I do feel bad for being off & it’s often harder (day plans, teams/clubs etc) to be away. But we are entitled to them & are human too 💛

Last year, the Minister of Education spent over $4 million on partisan ads instead of spending it on supports for our kids. This is absolutely unacceptable. When will the government start caring more about our kids than themselves? #onpoli #onted
