Recently heard the phrase ‘protective factors’ used in relation to children continuing to enjoy and achieve in maths. It’s stuck in my head as v useful and want to attribute it correctly. Was it from either of your work on KS3 Dr Laurie Jacques (she/her) David Thomas?

So glad this paper is finally online! We found no differences in math anxiety across overt and covert timing conditions but students reported higher math anxiety on complex problems compared to simple problems.
