We’ve had a fun kick-off to Literacy Week! Students started the week with a setting scavenger hunt around campus. Yesterday, classes tuned in & interacted with a very animated virtual storyteller! We were also joined by a local guest author & hosted our school-wide spelling bee!

We had so much fun this morning as we rode throughout our community on the Book Bus! Thank you to the teachers who came together to help foster a love for reading, and to the families who brought their children to a stop to select a few books! One of my favorite days of the year!

We reserve the 4th Wednesday afternoon of each month for Magic Days- (completely optional!) togetherness & fun! I was so happy to see so many of our teachers and staff joining in to enjoy each other’s company and make some special bracelets together! The Magic is in EHES! ✨

When your 1st grader shocks you by breaking the silence in the car & asking, “Did you live in a remote village when you were little, a girl lived in one with no books.” I’ve never used that word with him. This is what curriculum with rich literature does. Great Minds
