Our 6th graders are doing such a great job on their final, elements of art" project. Look at that texture they're creating with yarn!

Another great photography club meeting. We learned the characteristics of Norman Rockwell and had a scavenger hunt to identify 10 of his works hidden throughout the school. Students are now challenged to create photographs that idealize everyday life and holidays like his work.

Thank you to Confectionary Cupboard of Mentor sharing their expertise and delicious treats with the 8th grade artists at EMS. Congratulations Sophia, for your cake design being selected as the winning project.

Another great, Art for All Art Club at EMS. I'm so grateful to spend time with such a kind and talented group of students.

My 6th grade students are amazing! We did our color theory unit and discussed how the color wheel is based on Science and the visible light spectrum therefore we say Violet not Purple. They then created a save purple website🤣

I have the best students. Love that they all know me so well. Dave Grohl makes a lovely addition to my Christmas tree.

6th graders are making amazing progress on their Egyptian portraits. Great connection to their current area of study in Social Studies. Love making connections to core classes.

So fun to see these 2 amazing EMS students at a baton competition today. They did an awesome job! We have so many talented Lakers and I'm so proud to be part of our school.

NESS is just three short days away! We are in desperate need of water - preferably in gallon or 3 gallon jugs. Anything you can donate will go to a great cause and go a long way to hydrating our amazing middle school dancers!!

Not much better during the school day than seeing students that are excited and proud of their artwork. For some of them, it's the first time I've seen this. It's a great day.

Be sure to check out the 2 Eastlake Middle School art displays at this years Lake County Fair. Displays are in the "Agricultural Building" and the fair kicks off this coming Tuesday. Great job Laker artists.
