The Argos arrived in Boston yesterday! After a long day of traveling and settling in, these superstars completed their first elevator pitch to MIT!

The Argonauts spend their morning of Day 2 getting their creative juices flowing with the amazing Zach Hobbs at IDEO in Cambridge, MA. They learned all about the design process, and students and teachers were challenged to think of things in new ways! ideo.com/about

The Argonauts also got to meet speakers from Lightmatter and were enlightened on how photonics work in computer chips and how this technology IS and WILL BE necessary now and in the future because it will save energy and make things faster when processing huge amounts of data.

The afternoon was spent learning about astrophysics and virtual reality at Harvard. The future is now. Or it already happened. Or it’s coming soon. Either at the speed of light or faster. And on a gravitational wave. And at 6G. Let’s just say…we learned A LOT! FCPS AAP

The Argonauts spent their rainy Day 3 morning with Lemelson-MIT Program! The student Argos participated in a design challenge and also got to pitch their ideas to some MIT staff and get valuable feedback on their Design Thinking projects.

On Friday, the student and teacher Argonauts got to visit Autodesk! They were treated to instruction on using the various FREE software packages that Autodesk provides for educators and students, as well as a tour showing them some of the 3-D printing machines!

After those wonderful experiences, the Argonauts had an opportunity to "pitch" their products and ideas. The esteemed audience asked some great questions, made some suggestions, and commented on how impressed they were with the project ideas and plans for future implementation.
