When you work to deny your sin, you also work devalue your need and appreciation for God's amazing forgiving and transforming grace.

How is it we can joyfully celebrate God's grace in a worship service, but then deny our need for it where live every day?

It's normal for us to be irritated by the sin of others while we work to excuse away our own sin; just another way we need rescue from us.

Confess your sin, but don't focus on it. Focus the meditation of your heart on the awesome grace and glory of your Lord and Savior, Jesus.

It's typical for a sinner to fight conviction, to deny guilt and to claim righteousness and for this there's daily rescuing grace.
