Calgary's prestressed concrete cylinder pipeline water feeder main was installed in 1975. Seems the PCCP pipes made around that time period are known for failing prematurely. latimes.com/business/hiltz… #calgary #yyc

I was a huge Reggie Jackson fan as a kid. I still watch video of his three homer World Series game periodically because it's so thrilling. But this is a much more meaningful video👇🏾

St. Albert and Sherwood Park have more than double Leduc's population, have no shelter, and send people to Edmonton. So do Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Beaumont, Nisku, etc. The next closest shelter is in Wetaskiwin.

An update from Jasper National Park, Parks Canada: It’s bad. Lots of stuff on fire but they can’t/won’t say how much has been lost. Would not address JPL rumours. Just saw a ton of wildland firefighters leaving, a bunch of city-style fire trucks entering. They’re fighting til the end. #JasperWildfire

As of October 1st, Alberta will have the lowest minimum wage in Canada (alongside Saskatchewan) at $15/hour. Should the province increase its minimum wage rate? #yeg #yyc #ableg

It's bananas to me that an industry with record breaking profits needs any sort of public money to meet it's legal requirements. Seriously Alberta. We have ERs closing nearly every day and overflowing classrooms but the best use of our tax dollars is to give it to Suncor?
